Lost Marbles Terriers breeds companions first and foremost. My puppies are raised in the home and are socialized to be good puppy citizens. The Jack Russell was bred in England to route fox from it's den during fox hunts which started with foxhounds, horses and horseman. The JR is meant to be small enough to go where a fox may go, intelligent enough that it would know not to engage in a deadly battle below ground, tenacious enough to keep worrying the fox until it left the safety of its den and fast enough to keep up with horse and hound. This is a special dog, with special characteristics for which a large group of like-minded people are dedicated through the JRTCA. This is NOT an AKC breed!!! And of this we are proud! Integrity, health, and mental aptitude is preserved through sound and conscientious breeding. That is what SAND COUNTRY JACK RUSSELLS are all about. Correct, happy, healthy adults and puppies which we breed for on a limited basis.
I have been around and was raised up with these awesome little friends all my life, and absolutely love this breed. I am not a kennel, and all our Jacks are raised in our home with us. My Jacks are all registered and have awesome pedigrees. I am a member of the EJRTCA and the JRTCA. I love spending time with all my JRT at home, and on the farm. I also love helping raise the puppies. It is so rewarding to watch them grow and go to off to their great forever homes. My little ones are also well socialized with daily contact with us, our 6 yr old grandson and 1 yr old granddaughter. When they are old enough they play with all my Jacks, and at around 6 weeks I start working on potty training, and teach them a few commands such as sit and come. They are so smart and learn fast!
We have been breeding both Parson Jack Russells and shorties since 1991. We breed for disposition and correct conformation. Our puppies are vaccinated, wormed and tails and dew claws are done. Our puppies are litter box trained. UKC registered.
